Continuing Professional DevelopmentGSLIS is committed to expanding our focus of continuous learning and development by creating and providing the library and information professional community with a variety of continuing professional development opportunities in many areas of library and information science, services, and operations. We have several ongoing activities that serve as continuing professional development resources; additionally, each semester we have a range of offerings for you to choose from such as graduate level community credit courses. We are guided by the Steering Committee for the ALA Second Congress on Professional Education (November 2000), which defined continuing professional development as a broad spectrum of activities including:
